About MaryJanesGirl Some jumbled "I" information ( various, random, possibly insightful tidbits )
I'm an artist of sorts ( write, paint, create ) & holistic nutritional/fitness practitioner residing in Seattle, Wa
My interest in other peoples cultures, thoughts, habits led me to major( BA) in Psychology( personality emphasis) and minor in Cultural Anthropology
I've have post BA work in anthropology, psychology, nutritional therapy, herbology, and physical fitness...currently continuing my education and working on my Masters in Existential Phenomenological Psychology( the study of how people live their lives and create meaning out of their experiences
I am a volunteer of the community and help people less/more fortunate then myself in whatever ever way we may differ..as I hope someone would help me if I ever needed it. I also believe in volunteering for social causes such as awareness campaigns of hunger, clean water, politics, the arts. I served in Peace Corps for 2 years.
I consider myself a humanitarian.
I believe in the tenets of freedom, liberty & happiness this country represents, hence my efforts to free/liberate something I believe to be beneficial for humans and all life on earth. Somehow, somewhere along our path of progression things seem to have gotten muddled, forgotten. We lost touch with our history. Hemp is part of american history and very much a part of world history yet it has been shuned, forgotten for the last 80 year or so...why? We have entered the environmental era now, it is hard for most anymore to still deny the affects of our actions during industrial and technology era on the environment for the harm we've done to earth and ourselves is evident everywhere. I wonder if we can have both a healthier cleaner technology & products while still progressing forward with our human endeavors of science? What I do know is the air is dirty and air filters are in many homes and business's now, water quality is bad and bottled water & water filters are the norm, the term "green" is becoming common day lingo for products that are earth friendly, our food supply seems full of pesticides & is GMO, plastics in garbage filling up landfills for centuries to come, etc. I believe it is time for us to sincerely look at other options of producing fuel, energy, fabric, paper, medicine, replenishing topsoil for food crops, making building materials, achieving optimal nutrition in diet, etc. In my research which has unofficially spanned from 2004 till now, Hemp seems to be the answer over and over again. Now I don't believe it is a magic bullet and should replace every "bad" product out there, just that we should really start utilizing hemp again ( people have used to use hemp for thousands of years history shows) to help compensate some of the damage the other products have done, give farmers a crop they can depend on, offer the consumers more environment friendly products, allow people to treat/heal themselves if thay are capable and choose to.
I hope to inspire and create positive, sustainable change for the future quality of life for all of earths inhabitants.
I want to urge and cause people to think, wonder, speculate about things that I do. I want to think, wonder, and speculate on things that people think about that i haven't thought about yet. I am wanting to inspire and learn.
Kindest regards,
